Sunil Soares
Sunil Soares is the founder and managing partner of Information Asset. Prior to this role, Sunil was the Director of Information Governance at IBM. Sunil has worked with more than a hundred clients across six continents and multiple industries including banking, insurance, life sciences, retail, telecommunications, manufacturing, oil and gas, healthcare and government.
Sunil’s first book The IBM Data Governance Unified Process details the fourteen steps and almost one hundred sub-steps to implement an information governance program. The book has been used by several organizations as the blueprint for their information governance programs, and has been translated into Chinese.Sunil’s second book Selling Information Governance to the Business: Best Practices by Industry and Job Function reviews the best practices to approach information governance by industry and function.Sunil’s third book Big Data Governance: An Emerging Imperative reviews the application of information governance for different types of big data such as social media, machine-to-machine, big transaction data, biometrics, and human generated data.Prior to joining IBM, Sunil consulted with major financial institutions at the Financial Services Strategy Consulting Practice of Booz Allen & Hamilton in New York. Sunil lives in New Jersey and holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Mark Gallman
Mark Gallman is a principal at Information Asset. Prior to this role, Mark was director of financial systems and data governance at CDK Global, (formerly ADP Dealer Services) a division of a Fortune 500 company, specializing in integrated technology and digital marketing solutions to the automotive retail industry and adjacencies. Partnering closely with leaders, Mark developed and directed the strategy for formalized data governance, master data management, and data quality across the organization. Mark has over 20 years of global experience with large multinational software, manufacturing, and services companies.
Mark Plessinger
Mark Plessinger is a principal at Information Asset. Prior to this role, Mark was a consultant for IBM software group with a focus on governance, MDM, information management, big data, and business case development.
Prior to joining IBM, Mark was a director of governance for Cardinal Health, a Fortune 20 distribution company in Ohio. Mark was essential in building the governance practice and the governance team at Cardinal Health. As part of his governance role Mark led initiatives around information strategy, master data management, and integration of industry standards.
Peter Vilim
Peter Vilim is Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Information Asset. In his role Peter is responsible for establishing a company’s technical vision and leading all aspects of technology development, according to its strategic direction and growth objectives. In partnership with the company’s founder, Peter works to identify opportunities for delivering the company’s services, including identification of opportunities for innovation, and assessment of marketplace. Peter has over 10 years of information technology and data governance experience with very strong technical and business background. Prior to joining Information Asset, Peter was Director of Solutions Architects at ASG Software Solutions focusing on Data Governance and Metadata Management solutions.  Peter holds Master’s degree in Engineering and Automation.
Pam Basil
Pam Basil is a Principal at Information Asset. Prior to this role, Pam was VP of Data Governance, Quality, and Management at TD Bank, where she was an integral part of the Office of the Chief Data Officer and aided in successful OCC and FRB examinations.

Prior to joining TD Bank, Pam was the Chief Data Steward at Independence Blue Cross, a health insurance payor. Pam drove Enterprise Data Governance and the maturity of Corporate Reference Data. Pam is also an active member of DAMA International and the VP of Membership for the Philadelphia chapter.

Pam has over 8 years of experience in Data Management and Data Governance including building partnerships with multinational software and service companies.

Sanjay Kumar
Sanjay Kumar is the country manager at Information Asset. Prior to this role, Sanjay was Sr. Managing Consultant and Service Area Leader for Business Analytics and Optimization (BAO) at IBM.

He comes with over 20 years of experience in strategic consulting and enterprise information management, in the domains of financial services, utilities, manufacturing, travel and leisure etc.

Sanjay has proficiency in practice management, alliance management, center of excellence (CoE) management, project management, presales, high-end consulting and solution architecting.

Sanjay has provided thought leadership in the areas of Master Data Management and Data Governance. Some of the publications of Sanjay on MDM, data quality and data governance is listed below:

Prior to joining IBM, Sanjay works with tech Mahindra (formerly Mahindra Satyam) and TCS. He was the founder member of TCS BI Practice, and has implemented first Data Warehouse project in India way back in 1999.

Sanjay lives in Mumbai and holds a B.Tech Degree from NIT Allahabad, Executive MBA from U21 & Harvard Business School.
