For the past two months, I’ve been building health plan templates within the Collibra Data Governance Center. Something I recently discovered is how to make “regulation relationships” between business terms and regulation assets. These relationships help group all the business terms that fall under the same regulation, regardless of which domain these terms come from. This becomes easy and efficient for the user who needs to refer to the legislation.

As shown by the screenshot, the business term “is regulated by” the regulation, whereas the regulation “regulates” a number of business terms. These attribute relationships are created in the settings of Collibra.

The great thing is that the ability to make these relationships within Collibra helps bring the entire system together, giving it a sense of unity. It goes to show that all the data within a system are intertwined, likewise with all the people who manage and use the data.
